Fighting Gravity on America's Got Talent

The path of Fighting Gravity on America's Got Talent was exciting, and full of power packed performances and jaw dropping stunts. Who knew when season five of America's Got Talent began that a group made up of a baker's dozen of inexperienced stage performers would become such incredible fan favorites.
Straight to the head of the class
After an amazing initial audition, Fighting Gravity was rewarded with a fast pass straight to the live shows without having to prove themselves in Las Vegas. Unlike other fan favorites such as winner Michael Grimm, who had to pack up and head to a showdown in front of the judges in the desert, Fighting Gravity earned extra time to polish their act for the quarterfinal round.
Bolting from the gate
The group made their live television debut on July 13th, 2010. Performing 11th out of 12 acts, Fighting Gravity was picked in the top three of the show by the fans and moved on to the next round.
Hitting their stride
In the semi-final round, both recorded and shown across the country on August 31st, 2010, Fighting Gravity dazzled the live audience as well as viewers at home. They were a shoe-in to advance to the next round, as their fan following started to snowball into a force to be reckoned with.
Standing out among performance artists
Primed and ready for the top 10 show the very next week, Fighting Gravity had some stiff competition. In the end, they beat out all other non-singing acts as the only performance artists out of the four finalists. They went on the next week to put on yet another stunning performance, earning them a final position of third behind only Grimm and opera singer Jackie Evancho.
While not earning the coveted top spot, Fighting Gravity proved to many that hard work and dedication to your craft results in something truly amazing. Fans of the show will never forget the magical feeling that emanated whenever the group took the stage.
